I. Introduction<\/strong><\/p>\n

The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) research internship program provides the opportunity for graduate students or 3rd\/4th year undergraduate students to participate in research projects to gain valuable experience on a variety of cutting-edge research at USTC.<\/p>\n

II. Program Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u25cf Have a competitive edge in application for Master\u2019s , Ph.D. and post-doctoral programs at USTC by developing relationships with faculty and students<\/p>\n

\u25cf\u00a0 Apply for free Chinese language and culture class to learn basic Chinese language and explore unique Hui culture<\/p>\n

III. Cost<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u25cf Tuition :2,100 RMB(\u2248304USD) per month(undergraduate student or master student);\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 2,600\u00a0\u00a0RMB(\u2248377USD) per month(PhD student)<\/p>\n

\u25cf International student dormitory:\u00a0500-1,000RMB(\u224873\u2014146USD) per month depending on room type and size<\/p>\n

\u25cf Insurance: 160 RMB(\u224823USD) per month<\/p>\n

Payment: After the admission is confirmed, we will inform the admitted applicants to pay the pre-registration fee of 500RMB(\u224873USD) through online payment, and send them the admission materials. Students should pay the remaining fees in RMB cash or by card when they arrive at the school on the day of registration.<\/p>\n

Refund: The pre-registration fee is non-refundable. After registration, all fees are non-refundable.<\/p>\n

IV. Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n

V. Application Deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applicants who apply for USTC Fellowship Level A are required to complete application procedures online during the following period:<\/p>\n

Jan.1 \u2014 Mar.31 (for fall semester)<\/p>\n

July1 \u2014 Sept.30 (for spring semester)<\/p>\n

Applicants who apply for USTC Fellowship Level B, Level C or support by themselves are required to complete application procedures online at least three months before starting date to USTC.<\/p>\n

VI. Internship\u00a0Duration<\/strong><\/p>\n

3 months \u2014 1 year<\/p>\n

VII. Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Non-Chinese citizens with a foreign passport<\/p>\n

2. Between 18-40 years old<\/p>\n

3. In good health<\/p>\n

4. High school diploma or above<\/p>\n

5. No criminal record<\/p>\n

6. Good command of English<\/p>\n

VIII. Application procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Applicants need to contact USTC profesors in related research field and obtain\u00a0pre-acceptance<\/a>\u00a0from professors before submitting applications online.<\/p>\n

3. Register, choose Non-degree program\u2212\u2212>Research Internship, complete the\u00a0 application form, upload the documents (fields marked with asterisk are required), submit the application.<\/p>\n

IX. Visa, Insurance, Food and Accommodation<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Visa<\/p>\n

The admitted students should submit the Visa Application Form (JW202) and the admission notice to the Chinese Embassy or consulate to apply for a Chinese\u00a0 Student Visa. Students must enter the country with a Student Visa and ensure that he Visa is valid during their stay in China.<\/p>\n

2. Insurance<\/p>\n

International students are required to purchase insurance in accordance with state regulations and school policies. Students pay the insurance fee, and USTC is responsible for purchasing the insurance.<\/p>\n

3. Accommodation<\/p>\n

USTC Fellowship Level A\/Level B students are offered on-campus accommodation on a first-come, first-served basis. If on-campus accommodation is full, students are required to find off-campus accommodation on their own.<\/p>\n

USTC Fellowship Level C\/self-financed students need to find off-campus\u00a0 on your own but we\u00a0will provide assistance to find housing.<\/p>\n

International students who live off campus shall register with the local police station in time.\u00a0Full address and telephone number of the residence must be submitted at the time of registration.<\/p>\n
