China Daily and its Study China platform (studychina.chinaservicesinfo.com), together with Foreign Affairs Office of Anhui Provincial People’s Government, are holding a storytelling contest, as part of a nation-wide contest. International students who study or used to study in Anhui are welcome to share their campus life.<\/span><\/p>\n

WORKS IN THREE CATEGORIES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

i. Articles<\/span><\/p>\n

ii. Photos<\/span><\/p>\n

iii. Videos<\/span><\/p>\n

Languages in either English or Chinese are preferred.<\/span><\/p>\n

AWESOME PRIZES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We offer a prize worth up to 10,000 yuan (approximately $1,563). Winners will be awarded certificates and prizes by the organizers. Some of the best works get a chance to be featured on China Daily app (with 36 million users) and studychina.chinaservicesinfo.com.<\/span><\/p>\n

Submitted works will automatically enter the national contest. After that, the provincial contest will review all the entries from Anhui (winners of the previous national contest excluded) for the regional awards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regional prizes will be offered by the Foreign Affairs Office of Anhui Provincial People’s Government.<\/span><\/p>\n

Article: 300 – 1,000 English or Chinese words<\/span><\/p>\n

Photo: 10 photos maximum, 5MB for each; each with a caption up to 200 English words; format in JPG or PNG.<\/span><\/p>\n

Videos<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Format: MP4 or MOV<\/span><\/p>\n

Size: 1GB maximum, up to 4 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Caption: 200-500 English words to give a brief introduction<\/span><\/p>\n

The entries should not involve any pornography, violence, reactionary elements or commercial advertisements.<\/span><\/p>\n

The author owns the copyright and has the right of authorship of the entries. Once the entries are published on the contest website, it means the author has agreed that China Daily has the right to edit their works before publishing them online. Also, China Daily has the right to use their works in other capacities for free, such as internet, cable TV, and mobile terminals, also publications, posters and exhibitions.<\/span><\/p>\n

All participants should guarantee ownership of copyright of their entries, or that they have the right to authorize the use of entries in competitions, promotions and screenings.
